Duration & Usage
Kits are designed to be used for approximately 30-45 days with proper care.
- SHEETING: Ensure that you have removed the plastic backing from BOTH sides of the sheeting before applying.
- SHEETING: Secure with included medical tape as needed (optional).
- GEL: A little goes a long way— spread a small amount over the scar, creating a thin film over the skin. Allow a few minutes to dry fully.
Depending on the size, age, and severity of their scar, many patients require 2-3 kits for optimal results.
Product Care
- When not in use, store tacky-side down on the plastic backing in a resealable bag or tin.
- Wash 1-2 times a week to keep clean & maintain tackiness.
- To do so, gently scrub away any sweat, debris, etc. from the sheeting with a non-concentrated soap and lukewarm water.
- Let air dry (tacky side up) completely, then store as indicated above.
- Silicone sheeting should be worn for no longer than 12 hours at a time.
